During her treatment for breast cancer, our founder, using her decades as a licensed esthetician and makeup artist, and her background in researching and using alternative medicine, created her own skincare to support her skin health, especially against the ravages of radiation, with great success, which allowed her to preserve her skin integrity after radiation and still have reconstruction. Using her knowledge of alternative therapies and guidance from her oncologist, licensed naturopath, and acupuncturist, she also created a regimen of herbs and supplements to incorporate into her diet to help her recover from treatment and its side effects, which can often be long-term and devastating in ways that alter one’s lifestyle. Through this process, she was able to find relief and often total remediation of symptoms caused by treatment, including side effects like neuropathy and tendonitis. One of the main goals of starting Radiant Survivorship was to raise investment capital to develop and license a line of skin care, a safe supplement powder for those going through treatment, and products to address vaginal side effects and sexual dysfunction due to hormone suppression.
