-
Experienced and compassionate support to help you manage, process, and cope with the effects of a cancer diagnosis and its treatment, while learning to remain present for your life and to redefine what it means to continue living, whether you are an early stage survivor or you’re facing a stage 4 diagnosis.
-
A breast cancer diagnosis affects not just the survivor but their primary partner and support system as well. Therapy can help couples communicate and understand each persons needs better to rebalance a relationship that has been flipped upside down by cancer.
-
In the context of a loved one’s cancer diagnosis, the caregiver often loses their identity to their loved one’s journey. Caregivers become resource providers, nurses, administrative and household managers, and they take on more emotional and psychological burdens as they work to comfort survivors, children, friends, and other family members. Being tossed into the deep end of the practical requirements of someone’s illness can make you forget how to have joy. Therapy can help you cope with anticipatory grief, grief about your life changing, and anxiety. It can help you anchor in the midst of your life turning upside down and help you define boundaries and take care of yourself so that you can continue to show up for your loved one.
